I received a response from Zendure support today and received the assurance that the defective equipment will be replaced. I did ask some additional questions regarding reliability and whether there are more known incidents of this kind. I also referred once again to my family member's ticket.

Could you tell us a little more about your case?

When did you receive/put the battery into use?
How long have you been using the battery?

I would also like to compare the serial numbers of the damaged devices. At best, these are close to each other, which could possibly indicate a defective batch.

In our cases, these were the following serial numbers:
As you can see, the serial numbers of our inverters differ by only 39.

My battery had Serial Number FO4NHN4N3402541 and was purchased november 25, 2025 and in use since December 5 2025. It failed at March 9, 2026

Yes, I had the same problem and I know of at least three other people in the last two weeks. It came with a fault code in my case (Hot swapping failure, code 46) and it was a faulty connector in my case. But there is also a warning now when you start the App, related to this issue. In my case they were stacked correctly, and checked with spirit level and the screws were mounted.

Both the inverter and battery were replaced.

Exact same issue here. Stopped discharging and went into standby mode. Zendure china helpdesk advised me to test each battery indivudualy connected to the inverter. took the inverter off the top battery and was greeted with a nice burning smell. Connectors looked exactly the same as the photo's in the first post. Also the negative connection.
