Zendure P1 and Solarflow 2400 AC not reconnecting to local MQTT

My setup:

Home assistant: OS 16.3
HA Core: 2025.11.3
HA Supervisor: 2025.11.4
HA front-end: 20251105.1
Mosquitto broker: 6.5.2
Zendure Android app: 5.10.1
Zendure Smart Meter P1 (192.168.0.26)
Zendure Solarflow 2400 AC (192.168.0.27)

Within the Zendure Android app for both devices I setup MQTT to my local Mosquitto broker.
Within Home Assistant I have auto MQTT discovery activated.

Both devices are added as a device. And everything works as expected.
When I request https://192.168.0.27/rpc?method=HA.Mqtt.GetConfig the MQTT configuration added via the Android App is returned.
When I request https://192.168.0.27/rpc?method=HA.Mqtt.GetStatus it returns {"connected":true}

Issues:

When I restart HA or Mosquitto both devices are not reconnecting automatically
Both devices do not report new events to HA
When I request the "GetConfig" it returns the config correctly
When I request the "GetStatus" it still returns {"connected":true}
When I login into the Android app and click "save" the connection is re-instated and new events are coming in

Do other have the same issue? and maybe have a fix for it?

Also ich kann das so nur bestätigen, ist bei mir genauso. Ich hatte über ein automatisches Post Ereignis versucht, via mDNS die MQTT Daten einfach mal neu an den SF2400 zu senden, wenn HA neu startet, in der Hoffnung das ersetzt das „Speichern“ drücken in der App, hat aber leider auch nicht funktioniert. Von daher wäre ich auch an einer Lösung interessiert, falls jemand eine hat.

Henry I send the issue to ZenDure. They replied that they "will escalate this matter to our technical team for further investigation" so maybe it will be fixed in a next firmware update?

Ich muss meine Aussage revidieren. Ich habe eben festgestellt, dass ich meine SF2400 nach Neustart wieder als MQTT Geräte habe OHNE in der Zendure App rumfummeln zu müssen. Also entweder hat Zendure was geändert, oder meine Methode mit dem mDNS post bei HA Neustart funktioniert…🤷🏻‍♂️

@Henry I got a response from ZenDure

"We would like to explain that currently our device operates under the logic that if the MQTT connection drops, it will automatically attempt to reconnect 30 times, once per second. If it still fails to reconnect after 30 attempts, it will not try again and you will need to restart the device or re-enable the MQTT function to reconnect. It is likely that the interval between your HA restarts was longer than 30 seconds, so our device stopped attempting to reconnect. Thank you for your patience and understanding."

So if you are lucky it will reconnect in 30 seconds.

Would it be possible to change the time between attempts from 1 second to 4 seconds? A restart in home assistants takes about one and a half minutes.

@shummy002 I also replied to ZenDure if they could change the behavior to some gradual backoff, so increase the timeout with each attempt 1s, 2s, 4s, 8s, etc. They liked the idea and would see if they could change it. So hope they change it in the next firmware update.

Same issue, quite annoying. Never ever HA is to be restarted in 30s.
Maybe change to like 5minutes with gradual interval as suggested.
