Dear Valued Users,
We are pleased to announce the latest Zendure App update, delivering significant enhancements to your energy management experience. This release notably brings seamless Hyper 2000 integration with our Home Energy Management System (HEMS), unlocking advanced functionalities. Please review the following for details and important usage considerations.
1. Prerequisites for Hyper 2000 Integration with HEMS
To ensure a solid integration of the Hyper 2000 with the Home Energy Management System (HEMS), please ensure the following conditions are met:
● Upgrade Hyper 2000 to the latest firmware version.
● Upgrade the Zendure APP to the latest version.
● HEMS and Hyper 2000 Cluster functionality cannot be used simultaneously. To use HEMS for controlling Hyper 2000, please go to the Hyper 2000 "Settings" page and disable the "Zenlink" switch. Once cluster control is disabled, HEMS can be used for control.
2. Hyper 2000 HEMS Integration & Disengagement Logic
If Hyper 2000 is currently running an "Energy Plan", joining HEMS will cause the single-device to exit the previous "Energy Plan", and control will be taken over by the HEMS "Energy Plan".
If Hyper 2000 is removed from HEMS, it will resume the energy plan that was active before joining HEMS.
3. Hyper 2000 HEMS Integration: Supported Features and Limitations
Supports multi-device integration: HEMS can support Hyper 2000 to integrate with energy storage devices such as SolarFlow 800, SolarFlow 800 Pro, SolarFlow 2400 AC, and monitoring devices such as Smart Meter 3CT, Smart Meter P1, Smart Meter D0.
Supports HEMS energy plans: HEMS support Hyper 2000 to use "ZENKI" Mode, "Auto Mode", or custom "Expert Mode".
DOES NOT support "Local Communication": Due to hardware module limitations of Hyper 2000, "Local Communication" is not supported with other Zendure devices. After joining HEMS, if Hyper 2000 loses network connection, output will be stopped to ensure electrical safety.
System safety power limit: HEMS has dedicated safety power limits to greatly ensure the safety of your household electricity. For multiple Hyper 2000 units or "Cluster" users, safety power will be reset according to the relevant national regulations. To ensure the safety of using HEMS, usage of the 0-2400W power range, signature confirmation is required; If usage of power is above 2400W, confirmation from a professional electrician is required, and the corresponding documents need to be approved.
4. Cluster Function Changes
Safety power limit: Zendure has made further upgrades to safety functions in compliance with the relevant laws of your country. After the upgrade, if you need to modify the safety power during cluster use, please follow the safety review process prompted in the APP. If you do not perform the APP and firmware upgrade, the cluster function will maintain its original settings.
"Excess Energy Export" switch: When this switch is enabled, if there is still PV input when the battery is full, excess power will be allowed to be fed back to the grid.
5. Hyper 2000 Energy Plan Upgrade
Default buffer modified to 0W: If Hyper 2000 is running the Energy Plan independently and Smart Meter Mode - follow the surplus power is enabled. After the upgrade, the buffer is optimized to 0W, further improving solar energy utilization efficiency.
A 0W buffer may cause Hyper 2000 to frequently switch between charging and discharging when small amounts of power are fed back to the grid; this is a normal phenomenon.
HEMS, as a system-level regulation for multiple devices, retains a 50W buffer in this version to ensure electrical safety and avoid frequent switching between charging and discharging.
6. How to Use AC Coupling Function for SolarFlow 800 Pro and SolarFlow 2400 AC
Please update to the latest firmware version.
Open the Zendure APP, select the corresponding device, go to the settings interface, select “Off-Grid Outlet Control”, and enable the off-grid outlet.
After enabling the off-grid outlet, if you connect a household load, the device will automatically detect and switch to output mode, and please ensure the mode is set to "Normal Mode". If you connect a micro-inverter to the off-grid outlet as per the user manual, the device will automatically detect and switch to input mode, using AC coupling to supply power to the home, and the HEMS system will automatically record the AC-coupled solar data.
7. Viewing Historical Data for SolarFlow 800, SolarFlow 800 Pro, and SolarFlow 2400 AC Standalone Units
Please update to the latest firmware version.
Open the Zendure APP, select the corresponding device, and find the “Statistics” section to view historical data.
Historical data for standalone devices will be recorded starting from the time you complete the update.
8. Firmware Update Guidelines
During the Hyper 2000 firmware upgrade process, please follow the steps below to improve the success rate:
a. Disconnect all 4 PV input cables.
b. Disconnect the AC plug and cable.
c. Press and hold the power button for 6-7 seconds to shut down Hyper 2000, and wait for the indicator light to turn off completely to confirm the device is off.
d. After shutdown, press and hold the power button to restart Hyper 2000.
e. Reconnect the PV cables and AC cables, and confirm the indicator light is on, indicating power-on success.
f. After powering on, Hyper 2000 should be usable normally.
