Turn Off Amp Up

Can you please add an option to turn off Amp Up in the App. I run the SBV through a transfer switch and so whenever Amp Up kicks in, it also affects my electronic equipment that's connected.

What would be the alternative? Shutting off the output completely when an overload is detected? For me, AmpUp actually appears to do a good job at keeping electronic equipment (which is typically very tolerant about input voltage, most 230V devices are actually dual input voltage and can deal with voltages as low as 90V without issues), running, while some heater, motor or e.g. fridge compressor is drawing a startup surge.

Many other power stations allow the option of turning it on or off. The problem is that for those of us who run this in 120V mode, and a large inductive load is started, the voltage drop may be prolonged and can damage sensitive equipment. While it can be beneficial in some circumstances, it can cause problems in others, so just give us the option.

I would consider equipment that can be damaged by undervoltage a very bad design. If anything, it should cut out and restart. Which is effectively what would happen on the inverter side without AmpUp, just that it most likely couldn't start back up into the load, now that power supply capacitors are discharged and devices would draw a startup surge.

Another option that would be great is a confirmation dialogue box when turning of the inverter in the App. As it stands now, if you mistakenly touch the AC button on the app when the inverter is on, it turns off immediately. They could simply as a box asking if you are sure you want to turn off the AC. What's worse is if you are not at the location with the SBV and it powering your WiFi , there's no way for you to turn it on again.

I'm really not understanding your opposition to a simple request. It's not like I said to permanently disable the feature, just give the option for it to be turned off. Both Bluetti and Ecoflow have the ability to turn it off so it's not a big deal.

I'm not opposing it, I'm just wondering what the use case for that is. And my impression is that the device would be barely usable at all without that feature. You couldn't use devices with any significant inrush current anymore. Even a single PC power supply could be enough to trip overcurrent protection and make it shut down the output.

If that's the case, and I would admit that I had that problem prior to the last firmware update, it speaks to a problem with the SBV itself. Any good inverter would have a surge capacity that should handle inrush current up to a certain amount. For instance, the Bluetti AC200 does not have the Amp Up equivalent feature and it works just fine.
