I powered up my superbase v 4600 after two days of shutdown, with a charge limit set at 70 percent. It was charged to 79 percent before I had shut it down. Not it is doing a full charge cycle and won't listen to the charge limit. Why?

Not good. I woke up to it still pulling about 400w (which was set charge limit) after sleeping a full night. It had pulled in 3.48kwh according to my kill a watt meter overnight to charge from 79 percent to 100 percent, and then at 100 percent, it kept charging anyway for 6-7 hours until I unplugged it from the wall, plugged it back in. It is now drawing 0 watts from the wall. Firmware defect?

Notably I had AC inverter and DC power off in the app during this time.

I've seen similar behavior, pulling more power than it should, even when fully charged. I think this is fixable with a software update, hopefully they will prioritize that soon. Until then, we'll just have to keep an eye on it to avoid wasting power!

the state of charge is for me not accurate. last recharge after upgrade it reached 100% after a bit over 2.5kw from the wall at 1800w charge limit.then it continued for about 2h limiting itself to about 930w charge. total drawn from the grid. 5.7kw. for the 4600 unit. quite a lot. you should let it charge till it stops by itself. I hope that after several cycles the soc will become more accurate or via update.

Interesting. I left my v4600s to charge to 100% but they do still lose a large amount of charge just sitting there. Put them on timers so they only charge when the sun is shining but it would be nice if they didn’t lose so much power each day. What software are you running?

So far my SBV4600 draws over 6kWh to go from 0 to 100%. Also I noticed when I charge or power lower powered devices from the AC inputs, the battery is much less efficient, 60% or less.
