support The device cannot be switched off while it is charging. Does it mean the power consumption when the AC output is switched on?
ggruenenfelder By parasitic drain, I mean that the system and ac inverter are consuming power even though there is no connected ac load. It seemed that thing the simple math whereby you divide the watt hours of the battery by the no load runtime with the inverter on, that the inverter drain may be as high as 70w without a connected load.

ggruenenfelder If the ac inverter is off, and ac input is disconnected, what is the drain on the battery? Furthermore, and back to the base question, can you charge from DC while in the shutdown/off/low power state?
support ggruenenfelder If the AC output is off, maybe 12-13W. Since the device cannot be switched off while charging, the device can be put on standby by DC charging.
