Smart meter mode not showing grid return as negative

In the “smart grid mode” the battery was charging but it reduced the charge rate such that more electricity was returned to the grid. In the display the electricity being returned to the grid was shown as a positive number (ie implying that it was using electricity from the grid instead of returning it to the grid). Can you please explain as the objective was to minimize electricity returned to the grid!

Zendure P1 meter was used and it shows the correct negative values in home assistant.

As additional information: Discharging works fine but the battery does not switch over to charging to reduce/prevent electricity being fed back into the grid.

The option to also control charging is now available and seems to works. Thanks for the quick action. An additional feature which would further help is an option to control when the battery should start to be discharged.
